Lesson 1: Lesson 3.1 — Opening the Room
As the Director, you’ll open the video room before your group meeting starts. This gives you a few minutes to check your screen share, welcome people as they arrive, and set the tone. In this lesson: When and how to launch your room (5–10 minutes before the meeting starts) Welcoming guests with a friendly chat or on-screen greeting Encouraging members to bring a snack or coffee if joining from home 📌 Let your group know they can chat and connect while waiting — just like arriving early for a real meeting.
Lesson 2: Lesson 3.2 — Managing Participants
You’ll be able to guide the conversation, mute noisy microphones, and moderate the chat so that everyone has a chance to feel heard. In this lesson: How to approve people joining the room Using chat for group interaction, prayer requests, and discussion Tips for muting/unmuting microphones and spotlighting speakers How to assign a co-host if someone is helping you 📌 Your group will appreciate clear leadership — don’t be afraid to gently guide the flow.
Lesson 3: Lesson 3.3 — Troubleshooting
Even with a great setup, sometimes things go sideways. Don’t worry — it’s normal. This lesson helps you troubleshoot the most common issues calmly and quickly. In this lesson: What to do if a guest can’t hear or be heard Helping someone allow camera/mic permissions What to check if screen share isn’t working How to handle late arrivals or disruptive guests gently 📌 Tip: Reassure your group — just like in person, a little grace goes a long way.
