Lesson 4.4 — Hosting with Love, Prayer, and Presence

Purpose: This lesson reminds you that no matter how simple your meeting is, the love of God and the presence of the Holy Spirit are your greatest ministry tools. Whether your fellowship is online, in person, or both—people are transformed through love, consistency, and presence.

In-Person Ministry Carries Something Special

“Because you just showed up and you're a Christian, the room will shift.”
— Warrior Fellowships Guide

Opening your home or physical space is more than hospitality—it’s releasing God’s presence. You don’t have to teach or perform. Just show up, play the video, pray from your heart, and love the people in the room.

Online Fellowship Still Carries That Spirit

  • It connects those in other cities, countries, or time zones
  • It serves people with health, mobility, or travel limitations
  • It keeps you consistent when in-person isn’t possible

“Whether I’m holding my phone in the car or we’re on Zoom, the peace of God still shows up.”

Cultivating God’s Presence in Any Format

  • Pray in tongues before and after the meeting
  • Bless your home or video room aloud
  • Welcome the Holy Spirit out loud at the start
  • Keep the atmosphere safe, calm, and focused

What to Do When No One Shows Up

  • Pray anyway
  • Stay for the full time slot
  • Ask the Lord who might need a follow-up
  • Keep your heart soft and your tone full of peace
“The ministry of presence means showing up, even when no one else does. That room is anointed because you were in it.”
— Summary of Warrior Fellowships Guide

Encouragements from the Study Guide

  • Real love melts resistance—even the demonic can’t remain in it
  • Hospitality speaks louder than sermons
  • Quiet, Spirit-filled people often carry the most healing

Director Reflection Questions

  • Am I consistently showing up, regardless of attendance?
  • Do I invite the Holy Spirit to move every time we meet?
  • Have I reminded the group that love—not perfection—is our focus?
