- Verify that your browser has microphone permissions enabled.
- Try plugging in a different microphone or headset.
Possible Fixes:
- Make sure your browser supports screen sharing (Chrome & Edge work best).
- If using Mac, go to System Preferences → Security & Privacy → Screen Recording and allow your browser to record.
- Restart your browser and try again.
🚀 Possible Causes & Fixes for Video Lag
1️⃣ Check Your Internet Speed
- Minimum speed required: 5 Mbps upload & download
- Recommended speed for best performance: 10 Mbps+
- Fix: Run a speed test at Speedtest.net
2️⃣ Reduce Video Quality to Improve Speed
- If the connection is slow, lower the video resolution in the settings inside the video chat.
- Fix: Click on the gear icon in the video chat and set quality to 360p or low bandwidth mode.
3️⃣ Close Unused Apps & Browser Tabs
- Streaming music, large file downloads, or open tabs can slow down your video.
- Fix: Close other applications, especially Zoom, YouTube, or downloads.
4️⃣ Switch to a Wired Connection
- WiFi can be unstable. If possible, use a wired Ethernet connection instead of WiFi.
- Fix: Move closer to your router or plug in an Ethernet cable.
5️⃣ Restart Your Device & Browser
- Sometimes, a simple restart fixes lag issues.
- Fix: Close your browser, restart your device, and rejoin the meeting.
